The Monumental Complex of Covadonga, with the Basilica and the Holy Cave where the image of the Santina (patron saint of Asturias) is venerated, is a place of worship and pilgrimage for all Asturians.
This is where Don Pelayo, the first Asturian king, is buried and where one of the entrances to the Picos de Europa National Park is located. It is a national and international reference as a destination for religious tourism.

Gamonéu Cheese Factory
Gamonéu cheese is a variety that has the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) handmade in the mountains and valleys of the Picos de Europa with milk from cows, sheep and goats. There are two different varieties of production: Gamonéu del Puerto (mountain) Cheese, which is made in the huts of mountain passes, and Gamonéu del Valle (valley) Cheese, made in the cheese dairies of the valleys.

16.30 h.– Visit to Roman Bridge de Cangas de Onís.
Roman Bridge
The Roman Bridge of the old capital of Asturias, Cangas de Onís. With its famous peraltado arch and two other minor arches that are unequal, the bridge is an old construction located on the river Sella that, although known as the Roman bridge.
It was built during the High Middle Ages in the 13th century, although it could be a reconstruction of an earlier one that would date back to Roman times, as it was based on the layout of the Roman road linking the towns of Lucus Asturum (next to Oviedo) and Portus Victoriae (present-day Santander).
