Registration for the workshops to be held on Friday 8 November in the framework of the European Rural Parliament (ERP) is progressing well. In fact there are already three of them, ‘A Spanish experience of Rural Development: The Rural Ticket‘, ‘Urban-rural synergies’ and ‘Smart villages: Making it happen’ that have already covered the quota in the two sessions that will take place. But they are not the only ones, as there are several more that have closed their first session.
Update (25/09/2019): There are already six closed workshops. In addition to the three already commented, we must add ‘Research and evidence based advocacy of rural areas’ (with a session), ‘Communities as developers’ and ‘LEADER beyond rural and the EU’.
After the celebration of the first welcoming plenary and inauguration of the ERP2019 in Candás, the first round of the 21 workshops scheduled for Friday will begin. From 11.30 am the Centro Polivalente La Baragaña will become the nerve centre of one of the most expected activities within the acts of the Rural Parliament. Until 12.45 p.m. topics of great importance for the rural development of Europe will be dealt with and in which different experiences will be able to be put in common and to share doubts.
These workshops have a capacity of 18 people and will be developed in two rounds, provided that the first one completes the capacity. Otherwise there will only be one session. It is also necessary that a minimum of 10 people have signed up for each workshop, otherwise it will be cancelled and these participants will be relocated to other workshops that have marked in order of preference in their official register.
The timetable of the first session is from 11.30 a.m. to 12.45 p.m., while the second one is from 2.30 p.m. to 3.45 p.m. Between the two sessions, the programme includes a networking lunch stop.
The order of registration in the workshops corresponds to the order of registration in the ERP and the deadline for registration is 30 September, when the official registration period for Parliament will officially close.
